　　今天，我们在昆阳古城**隆重举办《长城》特种邮票首发式。这既是丰富全市人民群众精神文化生活中的一件喜事，也是弘扬优秀传统文化，推进文化强市建设，提升城市文明素质的重要举措。借此机会，我代表市委宣传部，向首发式的举办表示热烈的祝贺！向各位领导、同志们、朋友们表示热烈的欢迎！向关心支持平顶山文化事业发展的社会各界人士表示衷心感谢！
　　作为世界文化遗产，长城是世界古代史上最伟大的军事防御工程，凝聚着中华儿女同仇敌忾、共御外辱的爱国情怀，保家卫国、自强不息的精神动力，是中华民族爱好和平、坚韧顽强的象征。位于**境内的楚长城，由春秋时楚国令尹兼司马叶公主持修建，是中国长城的重要组成部分，也是中国最早的长城之一，被业界称为“长城之父”，它对于研究春秋战国时期的政治、历史、文化、地理、军事、民族等都具有重要的价值。
　　今天，《长城》特种邮票首发式的举办，是对我市文化保护、文物管理工作的肯定，也必将对繁荣我市文化事业，丰富市民文化生活，将起到十分重要的推动作用。
　　邮票是国家的名片，是传承优秀文化的载体。邮票发行活动是文化事业发展的有力平台，希望我市邮政部门继续秉承服务地方经济，助推文化事业发展的宗旨，把特种邮票发行作为弘扬优秀传统文化、扩大对外交流的有效载体，进一步树立***良好形象，提升城市的知名度、美誉度，为我市文化事业发展做出更大贡献！
